To ensure longevity of our pre filtration equipement and UV light,–  as your source/feed water comes in to the aquifer it is subjected to a sonic pulse which changes the electrical and physical properties of lime scale forming calcium deposits causing them to repel rather than stick to pipes.  It is electrolytic action which alters the ionic composition which changes the super saturation capacity and ensures that deposits of lime only occur as microscopic particles and not for scale.  This is imperative to the proper function of the subsequent UV and filtration treatment. Equally important is that it softens existing scale ensuring that it will not stick the RO membrane further down the line
