8. CWCA GAC/ Magnatizer Water Filtration Systm

With a GE controller on our backwashing filter ,  GAC is the last filtration stage before going to the RO. It is also the last ploshing stage before use.The GAC microorganism growths previously ozonated are promoted on the activated carbon surface.  These biological growths feed on the partially oxidized organic material using the dissolved oxygen added during ozenation. Hence, converting AOC to CO2 and water.  The net result being lower trihalomethane and haloacetic acids. Any remaining Chlorine and dissolved solids should be elimiated here.  We have also built in a magnetizer to activate the water and make smaller molecules.  With the backflow feature and pre filtration this GAC can last as long as 10 years without changing.

GAC Silver Impregnated Carbon post filter.  After leaving the atmospheric storage tank we pass through an anti bacterial GAC to remove any tastes from water that may have set for a while, and to help insure its anti bacterial heath while traveling to your Faucet. Minerals in solution can still permeate a charcoal filter. These minerals are essential to health.

“Activated” Carbon (AC) Filtration is often used to:

?????Remove Chlorine from municipal water supply to prevent oxidation, and subsequent degradation, of Reverse Osmosis (RO) Membranes

            ?????Removal of Organic Contaminants

?????Improve the Aesthetic quality of water, such as Color, Odor, and Taste

Activated Carbon (AC) Filters take advantage of the amazingly vast surface area possessed by activated carbon. One pound of AC boasts between 60 and 150 acres of surface area! This property allows a relatively small amount of media to attract, hold, and contain large amounts of contaminants.
